Why This Podcast Exists

Millions of men struggle with porn addiction. Most of them do it in complete silence. They don't talk about it with friends. They don't bring it up with a therapist. They carry it alone, alongside the shame that comes with it.

Shane

Hi, I'm Shane and I know because I was one of them.

I started QuitByHealing after years of running men's groups and coaching. The same pattern kept showing up: men who were capable, intelligent, motivated in every other area of their lives, but completely stuck when it came to this one thing. They'd tried NoFap, they'd tried blocking apps, they'd tried white-knuckling their way through. Nothing lasted.

When I shared the tools that had actually worked for me, tools rooted in shadow work, emotional healing, and somatic practices, the reaction was always the same: "Why has no one told me this before?"

That question is why the podcast exists. The approaches that actually work for lasting change aren't complicated, but they are different from what most people have heard. And they deserve to be available to everyone, not just the men who can afford to work with me one-on-one.

No Ads, No Sponsors

The QuitByHealing Podcast is 100% ad-free and sponsor-free. This is a deliberate choice.

Advertising creates incentives that distort content. The language gets softened to stay advertiser-friendly. Topics that make sponsors uncomfortable get avoided entirely. The drive shifts toward what generates downloads rather than what actually helps people. The incentive to be popular starts competing with the incentive to be helpful, and those two are not always pointing in the same direction.

I'm not interested in any of that. This podcast exists to give you the most direct, honest, in-depth guidance I can. If something is true and useful, I say it, regardless of whether it makes for a nice ad read.

To be clear: QuitByHealing is not a charity. I charge for coaching. I have a program I sell. Money matters because it's what allows me to keep doing this work full-time. But money was never the motivation for starting this. The podcast is one of many ways I make the strategies and mindset shifts that actually work available to as many men as possible, completely free.

Podcasts: the Home of Long Form

A podcast is a format where people are used to long content. I like that, because it allows me to go in depth on topics that deserve it.

Addiction recovery. Behavior change. Becoming a man you can be proud of. Developing integrity. These aren't topics you can do justice in a 60-second reel. They require real exploration, real nuance, real space to sit with the ideas.

My hope is that this podcast becomes something that provides real, lasting value. Something you can listen to on your commute or while going about your day. Something that shifts how you see yourself and what you think is possible.

It's one way for me to spread a message I know is important. There's nothing out there quite like what we talk about on this show. And the men who need to hear it often don't even know they're looking for it yet.

Help More Men Find This

QuitByHealing doesn't go viral. The topic is too sensitive, the content too nuanced for the algorithm. But a simple review or rating makes a real difference. It helps the show surface for the men who are quietly searching for a way out.
