Step 4 - Replacement Habits

Good Dopamine

A porn habit takes up a lot of your time. Now that you quit, you have free time. Use this newfound free time to do something that makes you feel good.

Pretty straight forward, right?

Here's why this is so important. The goal is to do something that gives you GOOD dopamine.

Good dopamine means: it's something that is rewarding (just like your porn habit was) but it has positive long term consequences (very much unlike porn addiction).

The list of activities you can do are practically endless. 

You can do physical activities like working out, hiking, running, cycling, etc.

You can do skill-based activities like learning archery, pottery, cooking, etc.

You can do social activities like joining a dance class, a breathwork class, friendzone girls and get to know them...

In short: anything that is a challenge and is good for you in the long term is a potential source of good dopamine.
